Who’s Handling Your Project

Fixer Arabia is a door to opportunities in the region founded by an expert local Producer, who started working in this field back in 2006 in Saudi Arabia.

At a time the film market here was still a new born, a lack of local experts was the main struggle. The need to bring in regional crew from around the Arab countries and from other regions was the only way to structure a team, to facilitate gears, and to get any film production executed locally.

This fact expanded our producer’s contact network to build strong relations with experts in the field and brings them in to the local market from the US, Europe, South Africa and the Middle East. Furthermore, being working with regional and International experts for that long period of time have set the standards, ethics and protocols to the how our Producer treats his projects, from pre-production to final delivery. For him, every production is a new child to be delivered to this world, a new baby that needs time to take shape and born. Every new born needs attention and care, that starts from the moment we plan for pregnancy to the delivery date and all the way after that. This was a remarkable print our Producer - Mohanad Yazbeck - added to the local market and to the generations that followed his steps in Saudi Arabia and the region.

  •   Mohanad Yazbeck is a Communication Arts graduate with a BA in Advertising from the American University of Science and Technology in Beirut. He is a mixed ethnicity being from a Lebanese father and a Tunisian mother, yet he was born in Riyadh and lived most of his life as a local in Jeddah and around Saudi Arabia.

Furthermore, Mohanad on a young age was exposed to various Arabian cultures and traditions, that he has relatives and family members from  The Levant, North Africa & The Gulf region - from Lebanon, Tunisia, Egypt, Iraq, Yemen, Jordan and Saudi Arabia - this expanded his understanding to different Arabian local traditions and cultures, and made him able to cross the miles with experts from around the region, being able to speak their own tongues, referring to their local terms and habits. Accordingly, this allows Mohanad to create a solid platform of professional relations in the field, and distinguished the how he manages different sets with unalike teams in the region.

  • On a professional level, Mohanad scores more than 1000 professional shooting days in the region, mostly on Tv Commercial sets, Documentaries, Shorts, Series, Tv programs and Commercial Photography. Within 18 years of experience, he has developed a deep understanding of different roles on set. Being in other crew's shoes made him see things from their perspectives, knowing well who is doing what, and how each crew member could do it better. This results to Mohanad’s ability of negotiation the crew requirements, discussing more details about their way of execution, accordingly this lead to a better production planning, and a more accurate & efficient expenditures on projects. Mohanad have experienced the obstacles and challenges of being a Production Assistant, a Production Manager, an Art Director & Set Designer, a Cast Manager, a Props Master, a Wardrobe Stylist, a Food Stylist, a Location Scout & Manager, a Production Coordinator, a First AD, a Line Producer, a Voice Over Talent, an Actor, an Editor, a Camera Operator, a Camera Assistant, a Gaffer, a FilmProducer, a Photography Producer, a Promo Producer, a One-man Show Filmmaker, a Script Writer, and even being a Film Director.

Mohanad’s journeys were full of meetings with professional Multinational Advertising Experts, Creative Directors, Marketeers, Brand Managers, Film Directors, and other Producers. Where he got involved in creative ideas, enlightened with the psychology of a targeted audience, got exposed to the effect of small details and messages on the mass reactions and behaviors. This experience allows Mohanad to have a wider angel on his projects and their executions. Which means, the ability to a better understanding and communication, the potential to maneuver around production obstacles and to make suggestions, as well to avoid and solve upcoming problems.

“It was a real pleasure and a great help to work with Mohanad Yazbeck. With all our communication efforts with the French Embassy in Riyadh and with the Saudi Ministry of Culture to have Ariel shooting for the pilgrims in Mecca, we wouldn’t be able to take proper shots without Mohanad being up at 5am standing at the gate of the Air Force Base for 3 consecutive days insisting to meet with the colonel to facilitate our cameraman with a military chopper and to ensure capturing the needed shots of the Holy Mosque and the Pilgrims in the busiest day of this religious occasion. He was always there to assist from day one, tackled the sensitivity and congestions we faced, and had effective solutions for all popped up issues. Thanks to his dedication and support, his presence was remarkably productive! I hope we will work together soon”

“Having been in the film business for 40 years, I know when a good person appears on the set. I first met Mohanad Yazbeck many years ago, when the Saudi film industry was still in its infancy back in 2007. We embarked on a large and complex project involving 47 days of shooting and navigating the entire Saudi peninsula to create 19 commercials for a mobile company. Even then, Mohanad stood out as a bright and energetic young man whose presence made a positive impact. Over the years, his exceptional personality and accumulated experience have enabled him to ensure smooth shoots. Our most recent collaboration with him occurred during the first year of Covid-19, where he adeptly handled emerging challenges and completed the project efficiently and satisfactorily, bringing a sense of ease to the entire job. In summary, Mohanad’s commitment and expertise make him a valued and respected professional in the industry. With the passion and dedication he brings to his projects, Mohanad consistently upholds a high standard of quality, establishing himself as an indispensable figure in the industry”

“I first met Mohanad Yazbeck on a project that was most probably one of the greatest challenges ever. It all started as a regular commercial in Saudi Arabia. There was nothing special about it, yet Mohanad was truly exceptional from the get go. But then the 'ordinary' became 'extraordinary' when the world was suddenly hit by Covid19 lockdown. Everything was new and unpredictable. The borders worldwide started shutting down. Flights were being cancelled every day. We anticipated the shoot, the flights and all the logistics. Yet the situation was getting harder and harder to work in. Still we decided to endure it and push the shoot through, in order to get it done before leaving the country. You can imagine how a producer would feel in a situation such as this. You would expect him to be stressed and overwhelmed. But no... Mohanad kept the show running with a smile and a heroic professionalism. It was truly amazing to witness and never will I forget it. Mohanad is indeed a great producer. And he tops it up with being a great human being. I highly recommend him, for sure”
